Affiliate Marketing: A Win-Win Situation

Why are hundreds and thousands of entrepreneurs setting up online businesses? There are several reasons for this phenomenal trend. Foremost among the reasons is that the Internet opens up an easier access to a wider market. In fact, the whole world becomes the market of the online business. An online business physically located in one city, for example in New York, can sell its products to clients that live across the globe. Of course, there will arrangements regarding shipment, but such things become SOP or standard operating procedures.

Today, a major part of online businesses is the setting up of affiliate marketing programs. The existence of such programs has attracted no only entrepreneurs and businessmen, but ordinary people who are looking into having their own online business. Affiliate marketing has become the entry point of many new businessmen.

Essentially, affiliate marketing is a business relationship between the affiliate and the merchant, who is the owner of an online company which is selling the product.. Upon entering the affiliate marketing program, the merchant is actually reducing the cost of advertising his products. He need not advertise because the affiliates are going to do this part of the business.

On the other hand, the affiliates will be willing and eager to promote and advertise the products of the merchants, without the hassle of taking orders or the demand of delivering the products on time, or the pressure of keeping the customers happy. The affiliates have already specialized in one small aspect of the business, and yet can still become part of another online business.

The merchant need not worry about wages for the affiliates because he is not obligated to pay salaries. What he should pay for are the commissions of the affiliate that will be computed depending on the agreed compensation package.

One package is called pay-per-click in which the affiliate is paid when a visitors clicks on the banner of the merchant. Another package is pay-per-lead in which the visitor has subscribed and has provided names of potential clients. And the third package is the pay-per-sale, in which the visitor purchases a product.

The affiliate is not limited by a certain amount of income. There will be no minimum nor maximum sales for the affiliate. The absence of minimum income removes the pressure on the affiliate, especially the new ones. And the absence of maximum limit paves the way to huge income opportunities.

Therefore, the situation created in affiliate marketing is a situation which is beneficial to both the merchant and the affiliate.

Customer Review: Twinke, twinkle, Sammo Hung, with a cast like this the movie better be fun!

In 1985 Sammo had become so huge he could get anybody he wanted to star in his movies, and I doubt that budget ever came up in coversations. If you are familiar with the Lucky Stars series, then you know what to expect. Nonstop comedy and spectacular fight scenes.

Sammo and his friends are once again asked by the policewoman played by Sibelle Hu to aid her in solving a case. They have to protect John Sham and Rosamund Kwan from 3 assassins played by Chung Fa, Yasuaki Kurata and Richard Norton. But who cares about the story in a movie like this? Sammo certainly didn't. This movie is all about the long drawn out comedic sequences and the hard hitting, stunt filled fight scenes. And there are so many people fighting, it doesn't even matter that Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao and Andy Lau have such small roles. The comedy is very good, as expected from comedic geniuses like Richard Ng and Eric Tsang, but they really go all out with the fights. My only problem with the previous Lucky Stars movies, and the ones made after this, was that there aren't enough fights. The movies always end with a bang, but you have to wait around the whole movie for the action to happen. In Twinkle Twinkle, there is no waiting around for anything. They fill up every second of the movie with funny gags and fights. It is actually a bit overwhelming.

Like I already said, the fights are truly amazing. You may think I am making this up, but here are all the fight scenes you will see- Yuen Biao vs Phillip Ko, Andy Lau vs Lau Kar Wing, Sammo vs a bunch of men in drag, Jackie Chan vs Richard Norton, and Jackie vs Yasuaki Kurata. All of those fights are good, but there are 4 others that stand out above the rest. When Sammo faces Richard Norton, he does probably the best acrobatic move I have ever seen him do. In case people don't know, Sammo is a fat guy, but he can pull off moves that most skinny people can only dream of. Sammo also fights Yasuaki Kurata and uses tennis rackets against his sais. You have to see it to believe it. Only Sammo could pull this kind of thing off. Then when Yuen Biao faces Chung Fa, it turns into a dream matchup that I never thought could have ended up as good as it did. And as good as all of those fights are, the highlight for me is a short match between Dick Wei and Jackie Chan. These guys really should have done more fights together. Jackie was in his physical prime in 1985 and Dick Wei never holds back. One of the best fights I have ever seen. The action directors for this movie include Sammo, Jackie, Blacky Ko, Chin Kar Lok, Yuen Wah and Lam Ching Ying, so I expected some REALLY good action. Like usual, Sammo delivers.

Whether you are familiar with the Lucky Stars series or not, I highly recommend this movie. And be sure to look for cameos by Wu Ma, Kara Hui, Jason Pai Paio, James Tien, Melvin Wong, and Michelle Yeoh has a hilarious scene playing a judo instructor.

Customer Review: ORIGINAL IS BETTER~!

If you want UNCUT ORIGINAL version, ALWAYS look for ORIGINAL LICENSED Production. NOT US Release. Its a foreign film, it should not be US version to begin with~! HELLO!!!?? Why settle for LESS with US Version where they edit and cut so many excellent scenes especially with Jackie's Fighting Scenes. And US Release ruins the speed and sound as well. I have been collecting Jackie Chan's movies both HK and US Release Version for quite some time now. I found HK Version to be MUCH MORE in enjoyable, and HIGHER in Quality. American Market always like to "Americanize" and "Control". Regional Code Regulation thing is one of the example to CONTROL the Market. Why not let everyone enjoy the same HK Original Release move the same way ENTIRE WORLD enjoys it ?? No one makes Hollywood American movies to "French version" or "Chinese Version" ~! This what Americans are doing~! Well, enjoy the cheap "American version" then~! LOL

Customer Review: Loaded with bugs

The most annoying bug in my experience of running this software under Windows 2000 is that every time I open it, the toolbars have each moved down to a separate line, and I must realign them all in one row. Frequently and inexplicably, the work panes have all shrunk, and I must resize them all manually (this is not simply done with one click of a Restore button). So, for a software package that advertises that it's going to help you organize your time, it fails from the start. The interface is clumsy--it's still operating in the Windows 3.1 days and struggling to keep up with the current Microsoft interface. Clearly, Franklin Covey has not invested in software design and maintenance. The product is loaded with bugs. There is no added advantage to using this product over Microsoft Outlook. Scheduling is a joke.

Customer Review: Excellent concept, but not without bugs

I am interested in this life/time management software after attending a 3-day "7-Habits..." workshop. But after 3 days of using it, the bugs begin to surface, few but annoying.
Nontheless, I think the software is ahead in principle of other planners around and for this reason I will persevere in using it until there are fixes to the bugs. I would rate this product with 5 stars if the bugs are minor and the support team at Franklin Covey are responsive with their fixes.

Customer Review: Excellent product

I've had the M240 for 2 years now and I have loved it since Day 1! Great sound, good battery life, and light as a feather. Sadly the cheap earbuds broke on the first day but I was going to replace them with a Sony headset anyway. I've never used the awkward playlist feature but otherwise it's been really great. Now I'm looking for a higher capacity model (e.g. SanDisk e260) for myself and one for my wife.

I have had 3 Sandisk mp3 players, 2 of them were this model. Ouch!

Nothing but problems. couldn't save my place in a book, and when turned on couldn't hear the sound until turned off and on again.

Don't get this, I messed up trying again on it. Big mistake.

2 out of 3 bad, is too big a risk.
